24/7 Emergency Generator Repair in Cape Town

When the power is out and your generator won’t run, every hour counts. Generator ResQ provides emergency generator repairs and callouts across Cape Town, Milnerton and the greater Western Cape, 24 hours a day.

When to call for an emergency repair

  • The generator won’t start during a power outage
  • It starts, then shuts down or trips when it takes the load
  • It didn’t start automatically when the power went off
  • There’s heavy smoke, a burning smell, or a fuel or oil leak
  • Alarms or warning lights are showing on the control panel

What to do while you wait

  • Don’t keep trying to restart it. Repeated attempts can flatten the battery or cause further damage.
  • If you smell fuel or see smoke, switch the unit off if it’s safe to do so, and keep people away from it.
  • Take a photo of any warning codes or messages on the control panel.
  • Check the fuel level. A low or empty tank is a common cause of failed starts.

What to tell us when you call

Let us know your location, the make and size of the generator if you know them, what happened, and any warning codes. This helps our technician arrive with the right tools and parts.

Avoid the next emergency

Most emergency breakdowns can be prevented with regular maintenance. Once you’re back up and running, ask us about generator servicing and maintenance plans, or read our generator FAQs.
